Stoke Mandeville
Secretary: José Rico-Diaz - next meeting: Monday 8th December 2025 at 6.30PM
Stoke Mandeville branch was founded in 2016 after the Chairman of the SCKPA had lobbied the NHS over ill-conceived plans to increase car parking charges for dialysis patients at High Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville.
Stoke Mandeville branch decided that they wanted to get directly involved in raising funds for use at the Stoke Mandeville Renal Unit and for the SCKPA as a whole. More details can be found on the Fundraising pages of this website, but in summary we have;
Held a Car Boot Sale, courtesy of Princes Risborough Scouts and Guides Associations
Created and manage Sidney da Kidney who raises money by accompanying you on holiday
Set up and manage the range of SCKPA items available, e.g. NKS keys which open disabled toilets in public spaces such as pubs, shopping centres, motorway service stations, bus and train stations and many more
Installed individual television sets in the Stoke Mandeville dialysis ward for patients to watch the programmes of their own choice.
We acknowledge the great support given to this project by Aylesbury Freemasons and Haddenham (and other) RotariansHosted a barbeque and authentic paella lunch for patients and guests
Since October 2025 we now hold our supper meetings at The Honey Bee Restaurant, Trenchard Street, Aylesbury. HP19 7AA. Click The Honey Bee to visit their website.
